Sector Overview

The integration of offshore gas production into national transmission systems represents one of the most technically demanding segments of modern gas infrastructure development.

Unlike cross-border corridor expansions, offshore intake projects require high-capacity volumetric management, precise pressure stabilization and continuous integrity supervision across extended large-diameter transmission segments.

The Southern Gas Transmission Corridor was developed to securely integrate newly discovered Black Sea offshore gas reserves into the Romanian National Transmission System, forming a critical link between upstream production and inland transmission corridors.
